The Cortile d'Onore is the monumental heart of Palazzo di Brera in Milan, the grand atrium that welcomes visitors before they enter the famous Pinacoteca di Brera. This space, is a masterpiece of Milanese Baroque architecture designed by Francesco Maria Richini. It is worldwide known for its double loggia with arches resting on paired columns and for the bronze statue of Napoleon positioned at its center, based on the famous marble model sculpted by Antonio Canova.
The Althea benches — with surfaces finished in concrete-colored acrylic — are appreciated for their minimalist and contemporary design and blend seamlessly into the austere spaces of this renowned building.
