Piazza Costellazione, which faces the RFI train station connected to the Milan Rho exhibition centre, was paved for Expo 2015 with 250,000 mosaic tiles signed by visitors to the exposition.
The project, conceived by artist Marco Pellizzola in collaboration with students from the Brera Academy, was completed with custom-coloured “Lithos” seating fitted with point-source LED lighting. The decoration depicts the celestial vault, featuring the constellation of Aquarius and the Milky Way.
