The commercial area of the historic center, called Merchant City, was interested in a multi-year urban regeneration and pedestrianization program promoted by the city council and the Scottish Development Agency in order to create outdoor parking areas accessible by citizens.
This goal was achieved with the use of dozens of “Andromeda” planters and “Auriga” seats in reconstructed stone with exotic wood coating placed mainly at the pubs or the most popular shops.
