San Bartolomeo Square in Pistoia
The Ecòl studio project (Arch. Emanuele Barrili + Arch. Olivia Gori) has transformed a space used as a car park into an area reserved for pedestrians bordered by stainless steel bollards.
The project includes an orthogonal “grid” on which are arranged the seats in reconstructed stone and the grids to protect the base of the trees. All the products are customized for this intervention and have the surface hammered in addition to the transparent scratch-resistant treatment.
Calzolari provided the slabs for the flooring, the seats, the shaft grilles and the stainless steel bollards.
